After more than 8 years of experience in web design, I refined my toolbox to allow me to create better quality websites more quickly. Today, I am going to share some of them with you.
Figma Jam
a brainstorming tool that I learned to use the hard way. I already made the mistake of not planning the structure of the website, which led to project delays and confusion. But with Figma Jam, I can easily create an ideal site map and get it approved by the customer before I proceed. It's a small step that ensures flawless project delivery and avoids last-minute additions that can disrupt the entire project.
Mood board
With the mood board, I can gather ideas for layouts, font choices, images, illustrations, and buttons. However, I never copy a website design, but rather draw inspiration from each project to create a unique design that meets the needs of the client. It's a painstaking process that saves time and provides enough inspiration to design the entire website without getting stuck on a blank page. A mood board is not a software or an application in itself, but it is a very important step and I am going to share with you some websites to help you create one.
Figma
When it comes to designing the website design, Figma is my tool of choice. It is a design tool that has become an indispensable element for many designers and web agencies. Recently acquired by Adobe, this platform is attracting the attention of the entire community, and you'll find out why if you start using it. Figma can be used to design just about anything. For my part, I use Figma to create a low-fidelity design, a basic prototype that provides an approximate layout and structure of the website. It's a quick and easy way for me to experiment with different website structures and layouts before investing more time in the design process. Once the low-fidelity design is finished, I move on to the high-fidelity design, in other words, the final design of my website.
Coolors.co
Colors play a crucial role in the user experience and brand image on a website. That's why it's essential to select a consistent and professional color palette before you start designing. The tool Coolors.co is excellent for generating and selecting this color palette for your website. If you lack inspiration for the colors of your website or if you want to add several colors, but have difficulty finding the ones that work well together, Coolors.co can definitely give you a boost.
Webflow
Once my design on Figma is complete, I bring it to life using Webflow, a website builder that I adopted over a year ago.
